Documentation

We have not built the self-service library yet, so rather than a page of dead links: tell us the model and what you need, and it comes back by email, usually the same day. Trade accounts get the current pack for every product they stock without asking each time.

What exists

Datasheets

Electrical ratings, tracking ranges, protection features, dimensions and mounting requirements. What you need to size a system and to satisfy a design reviewer.

Installation and commissioning manuals

The manufacturer’s procedure, in full. Installing to it is a condition of the warranty, so it is worth reading the section on isolation and earthing rather than the diagram alone.

Compliance certificates

AS/NZS 4777.2 certification and Clean Energy Council approved product listings — the documents your distributor and your STC paperwork will both ask about.

Firmware notes and fault code lists

What changed in a release, and what each code on the screen actually means. The fault code list saves more callouts than anything else we send out.

If you are a homeowner

You should already have most of this.

Your installer is obliged to hand over a documentation pack at commissioning. If it never arrived, ask them first — and if that goes nowhere, ask us and we will send the product documents directly. Keep the lot somewhere you will find it in eight years, because the invoice and the commissioning record are what establish your warranty start date.

A photo of the whole pack on your phone is a perfectly good backup, and considerably more likely to survive than the folder in the garage.

Your handover pack should include

  • The itemised invoice, with the STC value shown separately.
  • Certificate of electrical compliance from the licensed electrician.
  • Warranty documentation for the inverter, battery and panels.
  • System design and a single-line diagram showing what was installed where.
  • Monitoring login details, and the serial numbers of every unit.

Firmware and certification both move, so a document is only useful if it is the current one for your unit. Send the serial and you will get the version that actually applies.
