The entry point. Four 5 kWh modules chain off a single DS5 controller, wall- or floor-mounted. If you are adding storage to a house with ordinary evening usage, this is usually where the conversation starts.

A higher DC bus voltage means lower current for the same power, which means less heat and better round-trip efficiency. The usual choice for a heavy-usage household on a three-phase hybrid.

Nobody cares what a home battery weighs. What matters is that it cycles every single day for a decade and never becomes interesting to the fire brigade. That is the case for lithium iron phosphate, and it is why stationary storage has largely converged on it.
LFP chemistry
Lithium iron phosphate, no cobalt. It carries less energy per kilogram than the nickel chemistries used in cars, and in exchange it is far more thermally stable and it cycles for longer. For something bolted to a wall in a garage, that is the right trade.
Modular stacking
Buy what you need now. Add modules when you electrify the heating, get the car, or the household grows. The controller and the inverter do not change.
Backup through an outage
Paired with a hybrid inverter and a dedicated backup circuit, the chosen loads keep running when the grid drops, with a transfer well under a second. It has to be designed in at installation.
Virtual power plant ready
The hardware can be enrolled in a VPP so the option stays open. Whether you should join one is a separate decision, and it depends on the operator’s terms as much as on the battery.
Ten-year warranty
Ten years on the stack, including the management system and controller, with a specified capacity retention at end of term. That retention figure is the number worth comparing between brands.
No cobalt in the cell
LFP avoids cobalt entirely, which removes the most contested part of the battery supply chain. It is also the cheaper chemistry per usable cycle, which is why stationary storage has largely moved to it.
On virtual power plants
A VPP aggregates thousands of home batteries so they can be dispatched together at peak times, and pays or credits you for the privilege. It can genuinely improve the economics of a battery. In exchange you give up some control over when your own stored energy gets used, and the terms vary a great deal between operators.
Our hardware is VPP-capable so the option stays open. Joining one is a decision you can make separately, and later, once you have watched how your household actually behaves.
On blackout backup
Ordinary grid-connected solar shuts down in an outage by law, so the array cannot energise the network while crews are working on it. To keep running you need a hybrid inverter, a battery with backup capability, and a dedicated backup circuit.
That circuit carries the loads you nominate — fridge, lights, router, a few outlets — not the whole house. It has to be designed in at installation, so say early if outages matter to you.
Storage makes strong sense if a lot of your usage lands after sunset, if your feed-in tariff is poor, or if you want the lights on through an outage.
