About Soluminous

This country is full of households holding a warranty certificate from a company that no longer exists. We started Soluminous to sell equipment you can still get parts and answers for in a decade — which meant choosing a manufacturer whose accounts anyone can go and read.

What we actually do

We import and distribute. We do not pretend to be an installation workforce.

We buy SOFARSOLAR hardware factory-direct, hold it in warehouses across the mainland states, and supply it to accredited installers who do the work. For homeowners we handle the design, the grid connection application and the STC paperwork, and connect you with an accredited installer in your area.

That distinction matters when something goes wrong. The electrical work is the licensed installer’s responsibility and the product is ours, and we would rather both be stated plainly than blurred into a single reassuring word.

The question we want to be asked

“Will you still be here in ten years?”

It is the only question that matters when you are buying a twenty-five-year asset with a ten-year warranty, and it is the one this industry has trained itself not to answer.

Your warranty is written against SOFARSOLAR, a publicly listed manufacturer, not against us. Ask every company quoting you whose balance sheet stands behind the paperwork, and whether you can go and read it.

How we work

Refusing to publish a number we cannot source rules out most of the vocabulary of solar marketing. We are fine with that. It is the whole reason to trust the numbers we do publish.

The roof is already there

It is paid for, correctly oriented, and it has been collecting nothing for years. Our job is to tell you what it would collect instead, and what that costs.

Every claim has to be checkable

If we cannot point you at the source, we do not put the number on the page. That rules out most of the language this industry runs on, which we think is a feature.

The installer carries the relationship

They are the one in the customer’s kitchen defending the brand choice. Pricing, stock and warranty response are built around that, not around the invoice.

Someone here answers the phone

Australian-based technical support on local hours, staffed by people who can read a fault code. You should not have to explain your own trade to whoever picks up.

One manufacturer, end to end

Inverter, battery, charger and monitoring on one platform, under one warranty. Nothing to blame on the other vendor, because there is no other vendor.

Proven somewhere harder than here

SOFARSOLAR is a top-five brand in Germany, Italy and Poland, where grid-compliance requirements are the strictest in the world and installers are the least forgiving.

On where it is made

The overwhelming majority of the world’s inverters and cells are made there, including for brands with European names on the box. The useful question was never the country. It is whether the manufacturer has ever been made to prove anything.

Germany, Italy and Poland impose the strictest grid-compliance and power-quality requirements anywhere, and their installers are the least forgiving on earth. SOFARSOLAR is a top-five brand across those markets and has held EUPD Research “Top Brand PV” recognition since 2019. That is a harder examination than the Australian market sets. We are importing the result of it.

The manufacturer

None of these are our opinion of ourselves. They come from stock exchange filings and from research houses with no stake in whether you buy anything.
